Automotive Forums. What all do i need for a crvtec motor swap. I have a 92 civic hb and am wanting to get a motor swap. I was thinking about just getting the whole b20 motor in at first until i saved up enough money for the vtec head. What are all the things i need from the crv that have to go into my car for the engine to work. The reason i'm asking is I want to get a swap as soon as possible and i don't have alot of money.

I just want the engine in my civic out ASAP because its giving me some problems, but i eventually want a crvtec swap. As I understand pretty much any B series intake will fit on the B20, but there have been huge discussions as to which one would be the best. The GSR tranny would be the right way to go but aren't those somewhat hard to find? Also, if you read up around here you will find that most people seem to think just swapping a vtec head on a B20 block would not be a good idea.

You have to be careful valves don't hit pistons, plumb oil lines, etc. I really don't know enough to say anything about ECU issues but there are others around who could answer this I would love to slap a B20 in my Civic and just run it non-vtec with a maybe a 50 shot or so.

I will admit i havent looked a lot at the 18 because i got into the I really dont want to sleeve the engine right away but would like to turbo it a small amount at first so i know thats more the b I know there are a few out there that have done a b18 to b20 swap i guess what im asking is it really worth it?
